Basic Lace Wig Care Instructions

You will need Sulfate Free Shampoo Conditioner & Moisturizers. These can be purchased at Wal-Mart, Target and other chain stores.

Good Brands Include:
Tressemme Lower Sulfate Collection
L’Oreal Sulfate Free Collection
John Frieda Collection

You can also use our Silcon Mix in addition to these products or alone. Silicon mix is a Dominican hair product famous for the way it silkens and softens the hair. It is used in many Dominican salons. Like a deep conditioner it should only be used when needed and NOT everyday!

Never Sleep on wet hair. Always make sure the hair is dry, free of tangles, and braided in a big braid or wrapped with silk/satin scarf before going to bed. It is also a good idea to use silk/satin pillowcase. Cotton cases damage the hair.

Always keep the hair moisturized. You can moisturize with water braided wigs and conditioner mixed together in a spray bottle or you can use a moisturizer from one of the collections above.

You do not have to wash this hair all the time. When you notice product build up that’s a good time to wash and condition the hair. About every 10 to 14 days or as needed.

When washing the hair always remember to keep the hair flowing in the same direction. Gradually wet the hair and apply the shampoo in a downward motion. Do not massage shampoo into the hair as wit will cause tangling or matting.

When applying your wig always remember to let the glue become tacky dry before attaching the unit. Use a blow dryer after attaching to help set the bond. Tie the hair down tightly around the perimeter with a scarf and let the bond set for a few hours before styling. Always remember to be patient!
